Trading Policies

1. Broker Integration

Darvas connects to OKX through an authorized OAuth integration for your own OKX account. Darvas is a trading terminal interface, not an exchange, broker, dealer, counterparty, liquidity provider, or order-matching venue. When you connect your OKX account, you grant Darvas permission to:

  • View your account balances and positions
  • View your order and trade history
  • Place, modify, and cancel orders on your behalf

Darvas cannot withdraw funds, transfer assets, open an OKX account for you, custody assets, pool orders, match orders, act as counterparty, or change your account settings. You can revoke access at any time from the Settings page or directly from your OKX account.

2. Order Execution

All orders are user-directed and routed to OKX for execution by OKX. Darvas acts as a software interface layer and does not operate as a broker, dealer, exchange, liquidity provider, market maker, or order-matching system.

  • Order types: Darvas supports order types exposed by the OKX API, including market, limit, and algorithmic orders where available on your OKX account. Availability may vary by jurisdiction, account status, and OKX product restrictions.
  • Execution: Order fills, partial fills, and rejections are determined entirely by OKX. Darvas does not guarantee execution at any specific price.
  • Rate limits: Order submission is rate-limited to prevent excessive API usage. If you exceed the rate limit, orders may be temporarily delayed.

3. AI-Powered Analysis

Darvas provides AI-powered market analysis using your connected ChatGPT account. The AI analysis is subject to the following policies:

  • AI outputs are informational only and do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, portfolio management, discretionary trading, or a solicitation to trade.
  • AI trade suggestions require your explicit confirmation before any order is placed. Darvas never places trades automatically based on AI analysis and does not exercise discretion over your account.
  • AI analysis uses your own OpenAI/ChatGPT account. Usage counts against your own OpenAI quota and is subject to OpenAI's terms of service.
  • AI models may produce inaccurate or outdated information. Always verify AI outputs against current market data.

4. Market Data

Market data displayed on Darvas is sourced from OKX and other third-party providers. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Data may be delayed or temporarily unavailable due to network conditions or API limitations.
  • Historical candle data, funding rates, and open interest figures are provided as-is from the exchange.
  • Darvas does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data.

5. User Responsibilities

By using Darvas, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • You are solely responsible for all trading decisions made through Darvas.
  • You will maintain direct access to your OKX account and not rely solely on Darvas for position management.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction regarding cryptocurrency trading and each specific product you access through OKX, including spot, margin, perpetual swaps, futures, options, earn, and structured products.
  • You will not use Darvas for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including market manipulation or wash trading.
  • You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and connected services.

6. Account Modes

Darvas supports two connection modes for OKX:

  • Live mode: Trades are executed with real funds on your own OKX account. All profits and losses are real. Some OKX products, especially leveraged or derivative products, may be restricted or prohibited in your jurisdiction.
  • Demo mode: Trades are executed on the OKX simulated trading environment with virtual funds. Demo mode is intended for practice and testing purposes only.

Ensure you select the correct mode before trading. Darvas clearly displays your active connection mode in the Settings page.

7. Data Privacy

Darvas stores your OKX OAuth tokens in encrypted form (AES-256-GCM) and your AI provider tokens similarly encrypted. Tokens are used solely for API communication with the respective services. Darvas does not sell your data and does not transfer assets, custody funds, or use your credentials for any purpose outside operating the user-directed terminal service.

8. Policy Updates

These policies may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Darvas after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policies. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
